Advertisement Posts on FMA Forum

Forum Policy on Advertisement Posts

In general, I allow posting of martial arts related advertisements on the classified boards. I even encourage FMA practitioners to post their seminars, activities, MA gear for sale, etc. I even allow non-MA ads to be posted if the poster has a decent history of participating in forum discussions.

What I don't allow are non-MA ads posted by people who have no interest in any martial art or don't even participate in board discussions. I don't care if you're saving the whales or saving people's souls. If you're not an active participant in the FMA Forum community, you have no right posting a non-MA advertisement.

I believe this policy is quite lenient compared to other boards (I'm looking at you Martial Arts Planet).

RIP: Maestro Roberto Morales

I regret to inform the FMA community that Maestro Roberto Morales has passed away. He was one of the original students of Maestro Antonio Ilustrisimo.

His remains lie in state at Charbel Funeraria on Angel Linao Street near the corners of Quirino Ave and San Andres Street. If you are coming from La Salle Taft, head towards Quirino Ave and turn right at Quirino Avenue and then turn right into Angel Linao street itself. Charbel Funeraria will be on your right (beside a litson manok place) and there should be a Jollibee to your left on the opposite corner (Linao corner San Andres).

Alternatively, from La Salle Taft, head towards Quirino Ave but turn right at San Andres Street. You will see a Jollibee on the corner on your right. Take a left at that corner (Angel Linao Street) and Charbel Funeraria will be immediately on your left.

The room is the very last room on the second floor. Mang Robert's son, Michael, would probably be the one there.

FMA Gathering

A topic was started on another thread about the forum guys here seeing each other in person. I was thinking maybe we can make it an annual thing. I guess for the members living in the Philippines it won't be much of a problem. But I think the foreign-based members will have to plan way in advance for something like this.

So I was wondering which month of the year is most convenient and feasible for people here (especially those outside the Philippines). I'm running this poll to find out. Please vote for the month you will find most ideal every year. I included the Christmas season months just in case even though I think nobody will be willing to travel to the Philippines during this season unless they're pinoys visiting home for the holidays.

Notes (please notify me for additional notes or if corrections needed):

1. The best months to go to the beaches in the Philippines is March to early May (dry summer months).
2. Many town fiestas in the Philippines are held in May.
3. Rainy season in the Philippines is from late May to July or August.
4. Typhoons can hit from around June all the way to December (that's practically half the year!).
5. Flights to the Philippines during the Christmas season have to be booked way in advance due to the volume of pinoys coming home from abroad.
6. Traffic is really bad during the Christmas season.
